When Cuba's "Strongman," Col. Fulgencio Batista, returned to Havana
after a visit to the United States, he was accorded the greatest ovation
ever given to any Cuban official, Nov. 25, 1938.
Hugebanners here are carried in a parade that lasted five hours
and was witnessed by crowds estimated at over 200,000 persons.
