(The Miami Herald). Opening at 8 p.m. Saturday is Oikos: Photographs by Juan Carlos Agüero, lush Everglades landscapes and wildlife portraits by a photographer who was an archaeology student in late-1980s Cuba and is now published in the calendar and the yearbook of the Florida Wildlife Federation and in a collaborative project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Celebrate Urban Birds.

Oikos is on view at Zu Galeria Fine Arts, 2248 SW Eighth St.; 786-443-5872; manny19526@aol.com and www.anhingawildlife.com. Partial proceeds from opening-night sales will benefit the Wildlife Foundation of Florida. (read more)
