South Florida Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart announced on Thursday that he would not seek re-election this year:“Today I am announcing that I will not seek a tenth term in the United States Congress this November", and will push for democracy in Cuba as a private citizen and lawyer.
His brother, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, immediately announced that he would run to replace him, partly so he can represent Broward County: “I will seek election to the U.S. House of Representatives this November for Congressional District 21, a seat which will be left vacant after the retirement of Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart".
