Tell us about the art projects for Kavachnina Contemporary for the rest of the year in Miami?
The future projects of the gallery are big and ambitious. This will be my sixth year in Miami and so the group I currently have is a wonderful mix from different levels of artists. In September, I will have an exhibition with two artists, Miami resident Pedro Vizcaino and Chicago resident Scott Ashley. They both somehow connect with the type of work they are exhibiting at the space. Vizcaino will show his wonderful series about taxis and everything about them. It’s about the culture of taxis as part of our symbols in the urban life scene. So many things happen in a taxi, you need to go somewhere, all the emotions involved, what you see and who you meet, it’s very interesting.
