meet Astrid Alcayaga, our featured artist this Wednesday, August 14th, @ 7pm (52 SW 10TH ST, Miami, Florida).
She was
born in 1974 in Havana, Cuba, and immigrated to the Unites States in
2005 and established residence in Miami, Florida, where she lives and
works. Alcayaga comes from a Chilean background, both of her parents are
from Chile. She is essentially a self-taught artist that embraced
painting as a means of expression, exploring her personal identity, both past and present with her palette of bright colors in what she calls herself "A True Colorist"
