HARRISART in collaboration with MANO Fine Art present an ARTists Talk moderated by Joshua Kingston.
Join us for an afternoon conversation with artists: Eleazar Delgado, Robert McKnight and MANO as they discuss their creative processes and current exhibitions in context.
Eleazar Delgado, Artist
Inspired by the natural world, Eleazar explores unique roles each element and being play in diverse ecosystems. His latest work, UNTAMED, is a study in both painting technique and lighting that mimics the layers of sunlight as filtered by the hammocks of the Everglades. He is partial to bright colors, geometric pattern and using eco-friendly materials in his constructions.
MANO-Artist
Interested in the manipulation of materials Mano often incorporates unlikely elements in his work using collage both as technique and a metaphor to create richly textured surfaces. In his recent body of work “Circa Now”, MANO returns to a more gestural format paying homage to masters of Cuba’s Vanguardia and in so doing celebrating his cultural heritage.
Robert Mcknight- Visual Artist
McKnight is well known for his public works' art projects and multi-part sculptures and assemblages using found objects. In his most recent body of work McKnight stretches both poetic and artistic license using simpler materials to pay tribute to his cultural heritage through the power and originality of his art.
HARRISART began as the working studio of artist Jane Harris. After presenting her own work during the Bird Road Art Walks; Harris decided to include artists whose work complemented or contrasted with her own. HARRISART's gallery space is suited for installations or collaborations and the community is invited to artist talks, workshops and demonstrations.
