The Magic City is known for its marvelous warm weather, excitement, diversity and opportunities. Its attributes lures people from other places to live and work here. As a result, the once humble little outpost has become a giant metropolis, where construction spreads far and wide, leaving little green space in its wake. This show is about the Miami Green Space that remains. Some of the artists in this show specifically set out to document Miami's pastoral settings with plaine aire paintings. Others were just enthralled by green spaces that are becoming increasingly rare to find within our urban setting and documented what they saw.
You are invited to visit their Miami Green Spaces, during the Bird Road Art Walk, on Saturday April 18, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., at Miguel Rodez Art Projects (4229 SW 75 Ave, Miami FL 33155).
